After the second preseason game, in which the Cleveland Browns defeated the New York Giants, head coach Hue Jackson stated that he was hoping to make a decision on his starting QB by Wednesday. The candidates for the Week 1 start include Brock Osweiler, DeShone Kizer and Cody Kessler. After drafting Kessler in last year’s draft, trading for Osweiler in March and selecting Kizer in this April’s draft, the Browns will have a fresh face under center.
Osweiler has received the starting nod thus far through the preseason. However, he has yet to impress through two games. Osweiler has only completed 55% of his passes — 12-of-22 for 67 yards — including 0 touchdowns and 1 interception.
