2016 was a rough year for the Cincinnati Bengals, losing several key players due to injuries. Running back Giovani Bernard was not immune. He tore his ACL and missed the final six games of the season.
In June, the Bengals’ website suggested that Bernard might miss “the first couple regular season games.” But, Bernard has shown up for training camp and is ready to go. The Bengals will use practice to continue to assess exactly how far along Bernard is in his recovery. The Bengals will also need to see where Bernard is going to fit in with Joe Mixon and Jeremy Hill.
