Gylfi Sigurdsson and Idrissa Gana Gueye could be in line to make their first appearances of pre-season this weekend after flying out to Portugal with Everton’s first-team squad for the Algarve Football Cup.
Yannick Bolasie and Cuco Martina have missed the trip owing to a stomach bug, however, while Theo Walcott and Ademola Lookman have remained on Merseyside to continue treatment on a mild ankle and minor thigh injury respectively.
Sigurdsson and Gueye only returned to training earlier this week after appearing in this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
