Former striker Gary Lineker says Ronald Koeman is “making progress” at Everton and has backed the Dutchman to “do a really good job” at Goodison Park.
Lineker, who netted 40 goals for the Blues in a single season in 1985/86, was at Finch Farm last week to interview Koeman for the The Premier League Show, which will air on BBC Two at 10pm on Wednesday.
Impressed by the job Koeman did in leading Southampton into Europe in each of the last two seasons, Lineker tweeted at the time of his switch to Merseyside describing his appointment as “excellent”.
