Chelsea continue to monitor developments for the £30m-rated left-back too. Newcastle have also enquired but are considering Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico as a possible alternative.
It was the Blues who looked most likely to seal a deal for Digne - with coach Thomas Tuchel down to one left-back in Marcus Alonso after Ben Chilwell was ruled out for the season with an ACL injury.
