David Unsworth has won the prestigious Talent Development Coach of the Year prize at the 2017 UK Coaching Awards.
The Goodison favourite was a proud recipient of the accolade at a ceremony in London on Thursday evening, 24 hours after steering Everton to a 4-0 victory over West Ham United in his final fixture in temporary charge of the first team.
Unsworth was recognised for his outstanding contribution with the Club’s Under-23s side, who he coached and mentored to the Premier League 2 title in 2016/17.
Recently, Unsworth also took up the position of Director of Coaching in the Everton Academy.
