Everton Under-23s can take a giant step towards booking a place in the knockout round of the Premier League International Cup with a victory over Hertha Berlin at Goodison Park on Wednesday.
David Unsworth’s young Blues face their German opponents knowing three points is likely to secure progress through to the competition’s quarter-finals with a match to spare.
The Under-23s got off to the perfect start in the International Cup by beating Reading 2-1 in August - a result which sent them top of Group F after the first set of matches.
Everton host Spanish outfit Athletic Bilbao in their final group match on Wednesday 21 December, also at Goodison Park.
