Tait: Under-18s Must Develop 'Ruthlessness'

Everton Under-18s boss Paul Tait says his players need to show more “ruthlessness” in the final third after they were beaten 2-0 at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

In their final Under-18 Premier League Northern Division match of the season, the Toffees were undone by strikes from Austin Samuels either side of half-time.

The result leaves the Blues fourth in the table, although fifth-placed Manchester City are just one point behind and have two matches still to play.

Tait’s side were without attacking trio Korede Adedoyin, Manasse Mampala and Anthony Gordon for the clash against Wolves and Tait admitted their absences were evident as the Toffees failed to get on the scoresheet.
