Striker Neal Maupay feels like he's coming 'home' after rejoining Brentford on season-long loan following dismal spell at Everton

Neal Maupay said his return to Brentford felt like a homecoming after rejoining the Bees on loan.

The 27-year-old striker ended his dismal spell at Everton by joining Brentford on a season-long loan with an option to make the transfer permanent.

Maupay had scored just one goal in 32 appearances since joining Everton in £15million deal last summer.

However, he scored 27 times for Brighton and Thomas Frank will hope to help him rediscover his best form.

'It feels like I never left,' said Maupay. 'I've always followed the club and been in touch with the manager [Thomas Frank], Kev [O'Connor], Peter [Gilham] and some of the players.
