Ryan Giggs has opened up about the fragile nature of top-level football and admitted that he once seeked professional help from a psychiatrist during his playing days.

The mental health of professional sportsmen is in the spotlight after Everton midfielder Aaron Lennon was detained under the Mental Health Act amid concerns for his welfare last Sunday.
