Ross Barkley will bounce back from this difficult period on his career and prove his class, his former Everton boss Roberto Martinez has told talkSPORT.
Having turned down a new contract at Goodison Park, Barkley was expected to leave his boyhood club in the summer but stayed put after surprisingly turning down a deadline day move to Chelsea.
The 23-year-old is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and looks unlikely to play for the Toffees again when he does return to fitness, with manager Ronald Koeman having recently signed two similar attack-minded players in Gylfi Sigurdsson and Wayne Rooney.
