Ronald Koeman's Everton pathetic in draw to bottom side Swansea

A dismal Everton snatched a point against bottom of the table Swansea as time ran out in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

As a single game taken out of context, it was far below the level expected. As a so-called reaction to a 5-0 defeat at Chelsea last time out, it was pathetic.

One win in seven league matches does not bode well with a tough fixture list ahead. Slow starts in games are becoming too familiar for Everton, a team who seem unable to perform until they concede the first goal. Only after a Gylfi Sigurdsson penalty and a half time tongue-lashing from Ronald Koeman did the home side offer anything, and even then, it was difficult to call it a performance.
