Everton manager Ronald Koeman hopes Southampton fans show him ‘respect’ ahead of his return to his former club on Sunday.
Koeman quit Southampton to replace Roberto Martinez in the Goodison Park hotseat in the summer and may be given a hostile reception by the home supporters at St Mary’s.
But the Dutchman has urged Saints fans to remember the progress the club made under his management.

‘I cannot change opinions and feelings of the Southampton fans - I hope they will respect me,’ Koeman said
‘We had a great time, and after my career I will look back and say I had a great time.
