Ronald Koeman 'can't understand' why £13.5m Everton flop Oumar Niasse doesn't leave the club

Ronald Koeman has written off Oumar Niasse’s disastrous Everton career and made it clear there is no way the Senegal striker will break into his plans.

Niasse was signed by Roberto Martinez in January for £13.5million from Lokomotiv Moscow but he barely kicked a ball and showed no sign in training that he was of the required standard to play in the Premier League.

When Koeman took over in the summer, one of his first acts was to tell Niasse that he was free to find another club and he was the subject of interest from, among others, Crystal Palace and some clubs in Russia.
