It is unquestionably one of the Premier League's first six-pointers of the season. Just four points separate Everton and Newcastle United, either side of the relegation line, as they prepare to meet at St James' Park on Tuesday evening.
Following a dreadful season to date under Rafael Benitez, Everton feel they can finally look forwards again now that Frank Lampard has come in to replace him.
Newcastle, meanwhile, have been languishing in the bottom three for most of the season but with extensive additions to the squad made during the January window, they are surely well equipped to survive.
