Moussa Sissoko has revealed he joined Tottenham instead of Everton as he was desperate to play in the Champions League.
The France international left Newcastle United for White Hart Lane on deadline day in a deal worth £30m - despite strong interest from Everton.
And the 27-year-old has now admitted he moved to Tottenham because he was keen to showcase his talents in Europe's premier competition.
"I'm very happy, very proud to be here," Sissoko told Tottenham's official website.
"I am in the prime of my career and I want to play for a big team, I have the chance now with Tottenham so I'm looking forward and I hope we will do well in the Premier League and in the Champions League also.
