Milestone Cap For Jags

Phil Jagielka became Everton's most-capped England international on Tuesday evening, but could not prevent the Three Lions from twice conceding late in a 2-2 draw with Spain.

The defender came on for the second half at Wembley with Gareth Southgate's side already 1-0 up through Adam Lallana's penalty - and it looked set to be a memorable 40th cap for the Blues' skipper as Jamie Vardy headed home just minutes later.

Jagielka had been level with World Cup winner Alan Ball on 39 England caps prior to kick-off, but Iago Aspas and Isco struck in the final moments to deny added cause for celebration in the capital.
