Manchester United will NOT appeal Casemiro's red card he received for his rash challenge in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Southampton with the Brazilian midfielder now set for a four-match ban

Manchester have decided not to appeal against Casemiro’s red card in Sunday’s goalless draw with Southampton at Old Trafford.

United felt there wasn’t a high enough probability of overturning the decision, and the Brazil midfielder will now serve a four-match domestic ban.

Casemiro misses this weekend’s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Fulham and the Premier League games against Newcastle, Brentford and Everton.

He was sent off by Anthony Taylor for a foul on Carlos Alcaraz in the 32nd minute after the referee initially showed a yellow card but was advised by VAR official Andre Marriner to review the decision on a pitch-side monitor.
