Wayne Rooney will miss Manchester United's trip to boyhood club Everton this weekend after picking up his fifth booking of the season on Wednesday night.
Rooney was shown a yellow card for dissent in the 54th minute of United's 4-1 EFL Cup quarter-final victory over West Ham, ruling him out of a Goodison Park return.
The suspension means Jose Mourinho will have to make do without his captain when the Red Devils visit the Toffees for Sunday's Premier League clash.
Rooney will now have to wait for the chance to equal Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time United scoring record of 249 goals, with the striker trailing the club icon by one goal.
