Gabby George and Angharad James will go head-to-head in a crunch World Cup qualifier later this month after their respective call-ups for England and Wales.
Defender George has been selected in former Everton skipper Phil Neville’s 23-player strong group, with James joined by young Toffees teammate Elise Hughes in Jayne Ludlow’s squad.
Wales sit top of group A having taken 17 points from their seven games so far, with the Lionesses just a point behind but with a game in hand.
It means a victory for the hosts on Friday, August 31 at Newport’s Rodney Parade over England would send them to World Cup in France for the first time.
