John Stones listed in Manchester City squad for Champions League qualifier despite still being an Everton player

UEFA appear to have jumped the gun on John Stones' expected move to Manchester City by listing the Everton defender in Pep Guardiola's Champions League squad.

Stones, 22, is listed among City's defenders in their squad list for next week's European qualifying play-off against Steaua Bucharest on UEFA's website.

But both City and Everton are yet to confirm his transfer in what is expected to be a £50million move to the Etihad Stadium.
