Jagielka To Miss The Derby

Everton captain Phil Jagielka is set to miss next Monday’s Merseyside derby after being sent off in the 2-1 victory over Arsenal.

The Blues skipper was cautioned by referee Mark Clattenburg for a foul on Francis Coquelin in the first half, before picking up a second booking in second half added time for pulling the shirt of Gunners substitute Lucas Perez.

He will next be available for the Boxing Day trip to Leicester City.

“We are, of course, disappointed,” said Everton manager Ronald Koeman. “You would like to have all the defenders available for next week but we have other options and one of them will play instead of Jagielka.
