'It's ridiculous he's not getting a game!' - Everton fans critical of Ronald Koeman's treatment of Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley has been dropped again - much to the annoyance of the Everton support.

The 23-year-old midfielder, generally regarded as one of the most talented English players of his generation, failed to start last weekend's 1-1 draw against Manchester United - and he was left on the bench again for Saturday's clash against Watford.

Toffees head coach Ronald Koeman instead decided to name James McCarthy in the number 10 role, providing an attacking threat ahead of Idrissa Gueye and Gareth Barry.

Many believe this is another step along the path of Barkley losing his place in the team entirely, with Koeman scapegoating the youngster after a series of poor performances.
