Seamus Coleman has described his first goal for Ireland has ‘a special feeling’ but admits it has been a long time coming.
The Everton full-back is no stranger to a goal for the Blues – he has 21 to his name in his 224 appearances – but his winner against Georgia on Thursday was his first for his country as he earned his 40th cap.
And the Ireland skipper admitted it was worth the wait. “It is a special feeling,” he said. “To score for your country is amazing.
