Idrissa Gueye appears to receive support from Senegal team-mates Ismaila Sarr and Cheikhou Kouyate after 'refusing' to play in a rainbow shirt for PSG to tackle homophobia - with the Crystal Palace star calling the ex-Everton player a 'real man'

Idrissa Gueye appears to have been backed by Senegal team-mates Cheikhou Kouyate and Ismaila Sarr after allegedly refusing to wear rainbow colours for PSG in their bid to tackle homophobia.

The midfielder, who is a devout muslim, came under fire after he failed to feature in PSG's 4-0 win over Montpellier, where players wore special shirts in an expression of solidarity to mark the upcoming International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, on Tuesday May 17.

His manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed his absence was due to 'personal reasons' and not because of an injury, with French outlet RMC Sport reporting that he did not want to represent PSG in the rainbow colours.
