'I did my homework. I called it this morning': Jordan Pickford's WATER BOTTLE reveals how Everton goalkeeper planned to 'STAY' for any James Maddison penalties... before making a vital save in relegation battle

Jordan Pickford put research on James Maddison's penalties on his water bottle - before making a crucial stop during Everton's 2-2 draw at Leicester City.

Maddison had an opportunity from 12-yards out deep in first half stoppage time, but it was comfortably saved by the Everton goalkeeper.

Pictures showed Pickford's water bottle contained the sentence 'James Maddison - Stay - 60% centre' - and that's precisely how the England shotstopper kept the Foxes from running into a 3-1 lead at the break.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the conclusion of the match, Pickford said: 'I did my homework, I called it this morning where I was going to go but he's a good player and he'll expect me to make movement.
