Hornby Derails Potters

Everton Under-18s came from two goals behind to record a stunning 5-2 away victory over Stoke City.

The win included four goals for midfielder Fraser Hornby, with the Scotland Under-19 international completing a perfect hat-trick then adding his and the young Blues’ fourth before Shayne Lavery sealed the win late on.

The Toffees conceded twice inside the opening 20 minutes, but hit back almost instantly after the second as Hornby controlled Daniel Bramall’s cross and expertly dispatched into the bottom corner with a left-footed drive.

Hornby netted his second of the contest in similar fashion, sweeping home a centre - this time with his right foot - to ensure parity at the half-time interval.
