Ashley Williams says Sam Allardyce commanded the respect of Everton‘s dressing room as soon as he walked in the door – and the new manager has “impressed” his players since taking charge.
Allardyce was appointed boss at Goodison Park last week and oversaw a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town in his first match at the helm on Saturday.
That victory came hot on the heels of a 4-0 thumping of West Ham United and propelled Everton up into the Premier League’s top half for the first time since August.
Former Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers manager Allardyce had only one full training session with his players prior to Huddersfield’s visit.
