'He is doing a fantastic job': Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti gives seal of approval to club's sporting director Marcel Brands following successful transfer window after previous scrutiny under Marco Silva

Carlo Ancelotti has endorsed Marcel Brands to be given an extended stay at Goodison Park after Everton’s successful transfer window.

Brands, the club’s Sporting Director, has entered the final 12 months of the three-year deal he signed he June 2018. He has been under scrutiny from supporters at times, particularly when Everton were faltering badly under Marco Silva.

This window, however, has been more efficient with Everton signing James Rodriguez, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan, while they will bring in Ben Godfrey from Norwich before Monday after agreeing a £25million deal with Norwich.
