Harry Kane did NOT take part in Tottenham training today, boss Ryan Mason reveals... leaving star striker in race against time to prove his fitness for Carabao Cup final

Tottenham have been dealt a blow in their preparations ahead of the Carabao Cup final after boss Ryan Mason revealed Harry Kane did not partake in training on Friday.

The 27-year-old suffered an ankle injury in the draw against Everton last week and missed Spurs' 2-1 win against Southampton on Wednesday.

Speaking after the game, Mason revealed he was hopeful the club's star striker would be able to feature against Manchester City at Wembley, and Sportsmail revealed he did train on Thursday.

But speaking in his press conference ahead of Sunday's showdown, the Spurs head coach revealed Kane had yet to re-join full training.
