Mollie Green admits she was hoping to open the new WSL 1 season with a Merseyside derby – and is delighted to see her wish come true.
Everton will face Liverpool on 22 September at the Select Security Stadium, live on BT Sport, kicking off at 7.45pm.
Former Liverpool attacker Green played in the previous meeting between the sides, an FA Cup fifth round tie back in March, but is determined to help the Toffees pick up all three points now she has swapped red for blue.
“I hoped that a derby would be the first game for us to kick off our season in WSL 1 and what a game it will be,” she told evertontv.
