Alex Young made an emotional return to Goodison for a special preview screening of a new documentary about his life and career.
Alex The Great is the title of a feature-length film chronicling one of Everton’s most revered players, a man who was referred to as ‘The Golden Vision’, which was also the title of a BBC Wednesday Play broadcast in 1968 and directed by Ken Loach.
The sequel almost 50 years later has been pieced together by Young’s biographer David France in association with Tabacula Films and features contributions from former teammates of Young, including Joe Royle, as well as personal insights from his family and fellow Everton legends Duncan Ferguson and Graeme Sharp.
