Fulham make a late bid for Blackburn striker Ben Brereton Diaz as Marco Silva looks to provide competition for Aleksandar Mitrovic in attack - joining Celta Vigo and Nice in the race to sign the Chile international on deadline-day

Fulham have placed a bid for Blackburn's Chile striker Ben Brereton Diaz.

Rovers have also had offers from Nice and Celta Vigo in this window and they are both willing to wait until January when Brereton-Diaz could agree to sign for them in the summer, when his contract at Ewood Park ends.

Valencia and Villarreal are also vying to convince Brereton Diaz to sign a pre-contract. The Stoke-born forward has drawn offers from LaLiga following his outstanding performances for his adopted country Chile.
