A former Everton player who was cleared of child sex offences could return to international football according to the country's manager.

It was revealed last week that the footballer, who can't be named for legal reasons, would not be charged and will face no further action, after he was arrested over the offences back in 2021.

The ex-Premier League player could now reportedly make a return to international football, according to the manager of his country.

As reported by the Sun, the manager told local media: 'He will have to decide for himself whether he wants to return to football and play again.
