Ex-Everton stars Pat Nevin and Kevin Ratcliffe are convinced Gylfi Sigurdsson is the right man to fulfil Ronald Koeman’s desire to add “productivity” to his squad.
The Everton manager has often spoken of his desire to add further attacking threats to his team and was delighted to complete the signing of the Iceland international midfielder on Wednesday.
Sigurdsson’s switch saw him become the Blues’ Club-record signing but Nevin has applauded the Toffees’ capture of a player he rates as one of the best in the Premier League.
“I think he’s absolutely fantastic, a brilliant player,” said Nevin.
