Lyon heaped further pressure on Everton boss Ronald Koeman as they recorded a 2-1 Europa League victory at Goodison Park.
Everton have now gone four games without a win and picked up just one point from three Europa League matches to leave them bottom of Group E, with Lyon remaining in second place behind leaders Atalanta.
Lyon opened the scoring inside the sixth minute, with Nabil Fekir converting a penalty after Fernando Marcal had been brought down by Mason Holgate.
The visitors could have had a second eight minutes before half-time when Tom Davies got his head on Memphis Depay's free kick, only to divert it onto his own crossbar.
