Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has successful second operation on injured knee and says: 'By the time you know it, the kid's going to be back'

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has had a successful second operation on his knee.

The Toffees wideman was injured during the 1-1 draw with Manchester United on December 4 when he crumpled after colliding with Antony Martial. It was initially diagnosed as cruciate ligament damage but further scans revealed that he had also torn his meniscus.

Having initially had one operation to rectify the meniscus problem before Christmas, Bolasie's second course of surgery to repair the ruptured ligament has also been deemed a success.
