Everton winger Aaron Lennon returns to training for the start of pre-season following mental health problems

Everton look set to break through the £90million mark in the transfer window with the arrival of Michael Keane and Sandro Ramirez, but fans received another boost on the first day of pre-season.

The majority of Ronald Koeman's squad returned to Finch Farm following the summer holidays on Monday, and among those clocking into the Blues training ground winger Aaron Lennon.

The former England international was given time away from the club towards the end of last season after concerns over his state of mind.

Lennon was detained under the Mental Health Act after concerns for his welfare, with the player located by officers in Salford, Greater Manchester, at the side of a busy thoroughfare close to the M602 motorway.
