Everton manager Ronald Koeman claims he wants to hold on to Romelu Lukaku for 'as long as possible' as he clarified recent comments he made about the striker.
Koeman recently said the Belgium international, who joined Everton for a club record £28million from Chelsea in July 2014, needed to leave Goodison Park to fulfil his potential.
The 23-year-old was linked with a move away from Everton in the summer but elected to stay after Koeman replaced Roberto Martinez in charge.

Koeman was criticised by Everton supporters for suggesting the club's star player should leave, but the Dutchman has explained the club's position.
