Everton have been told they will have to fork over £42million if they want to sign Fiorentina forward Nikola Kalinic in January.
The Toffees are on the hunt for a striker during next month's transfer window after failing to land one in the summer.
After looking at him back in August, 28-year-old Kalinic is reportedly one of those on Everton's radar and he has impressed visiting scouts with his performances.
But Ronald Koeman's hopes of landing the former Blackburn Rovers star have been dealt a hammer blow after it was revealed his new contract has a £42m release-clause.
