Everton striker Moise Kean didn't know he was breaking lockdown rules by hosting a party at his house amid the coronavirus pandemic

Moise Kean didn't know he was breaking lockdown rules by hosting a party at his house in April, Sportsmail understands.

The Everton striker posted a video on Snapchat showing several women at his house in Cheshire and therefore broke the government's social distancing rules which were set due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is understood there were no sex workers or strippers at the party and the women shown on the video are part of his social group.

Kean was fined by Everton and was genuinely remorseful for hosting the party and showed contrition when he was disciplined by Everton's director of football Marcel Brands.
