Everton Football Club marked Remembrance Day with a service outside Goodison Park on Wednesday.
Club Ambassadors Graeme Sharp, Graham Stuart and Ian Snodin joined staff and other guests gathered beside the statue of Dixie Dean to pay their respects and remember those who gave their lives during both World War One and World War Two.
Former Everton players Brian Atkins, Frank Boundy, Malcolm Fraser, Thomas Gracie, Leigh Roose, William Sumner and Wilfred Toman – whose names now adorn the gate leading into Goodison – were among those to be lost in the conflicts.
