Everton are ready to begin contract talks with Jordan Pickford and want the England goalkeeper to stay with them for the rest of his career.
Pickford moved to Merseyside in the summer of 2017 and has gone on to make 322 appearances since he arrived from Sunderland for £30million – that was a club record fee at the time but his consistency, quality and durability has made it one of Everton’s finest deals in the modern era.
He last signed a new terms in February 2023 – that deal runs to June 2027 – but Everton are determined to head off any issues by putting together a package that will reflect the importance of the 31-year-old and his standing within the squad.
