Everton lining up £15m move for Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour with no deal in sight for Sunderland's Lamine Kone

Everton have discussed a £15million transfer for Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour.

The Goodison Park club are lining up alternatives with Sunderland boss David Moyes yet to agree to sell Lamine Kone.

Valencia owner Peter Lim was in London at the weekend to discuss the potential sale of Abdennour, as well as that of Shkodran Mustafi to Arsenal.
