Everton are reportedly considering making a move for Southampton captain Pierre-Emile Hojberg.
The Danish midfielder is in the midst of his fourth season at St Mary's, having joined from Bayern Munich for £12.8m back in 2016.
The 24-year-old has been key member of the Saints side since his move, contributing five goals and six assists in 129 appearances, manager Ralph Hasenhuttl handing him the armband in 2018.
And The Athletic claim his consistent displays have caught the attention of the Toffees.
Carlo Ancellotti is said to be a keen admirer of Hojberg, who has just 12 months left on his current deal.
