Everton defender Ashley Williams suffers minute of madness against Arsenal

Everton defender Ashley Williams was left to rue his luck on Tuesday night after his two errors in quick succession gifted Arsenal the lead at Goodison Park.

Williams, a summer signing from Swansea, has found life on Merseyside more challenging than he perhaps expected, with Everton languishing down in mid-table this season.

The Toffees had won just one game in 10 prior to Tuesday night's Premier League clash with Arsenal, and Ronald Koeman would have urged his side to get off to a solid start against the Gunners.

However, it took only 20 minutes for Arsenal to break the home side's resistance - largely thanks to two defensive howlers from Williams.
