Everton defender Ashley Williams admits the players had to do a lot of soul-searching as they looked for a solution to their slump in form.
The centre-back's late winner against Arsenal secured only a second victory in 11 Premier League matches and the way the players and Goodison Park reacted it was evident to see a weight had been lifted.
Manager Ronald Koeman had already begun to publicly challenge the squad, particularly the likes of midfielder Ross Barkley, and Williams said there had been a lot of questions asked among themselves.

'There has been a bit of soul searching, we have spoken about it, we have all looked at ourselves in the mirror and asked what we could do different and better,' said the Wales captain.
