Bill Kenwright has revealed he has been battling a chronic illness for eight years — but it will not stop his search for new investment at Everton.
The club chairman wrote an open letter to supporters who are operating a campaign for boardroom change under the slogan #alltogethernow.
The last game Kenwright attended at Goodison was on January 4, after which he and his fellow directors were advised to stay away after threats. There is no indication if they will return for the club’s three remaining home fixtures.
Kenwright, 77, has faced persistent calls to leave, but, in the letter, made it clear that his focus is on finding the money to finish their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
