Everton boss Sam Allardyce urges Davy Klaassen, Sandro Ramirez and Co 'to be determined and dedicated' if they fail to secure January moves

Everton manager Sam Allardyce has told his fringe players he does not want to see them feeling sorry for themselves if deadline day moves do not happen.

Allardyce is desperate to trim down a bloated squad of about 35 players to something more manageable but with no satisfactory offers so far there is a realistic prospect many will remain after the window closes.

The likes of Sandro Ramirez, Davy Klaassen and Muhamed Besic have not featured since December and appear to have little future under Allardyce, but if they cannot - at the very least - be loaned out, the manager expects to see them working just as hard come February 1.
