Everton are on the brink of signing Udinese's Beto as the goal-shy Toffees lure the £25m forward having yet to score in the Premier League this season

Everton are on the cusp of signing Udinese striker Beto after agreeing final details with the Italian club.

Sean Dyche's side sit at the foot of the Premier League table ahead of Friday's transfer deadline and are the only team in the division yet to score a goal so far.

The Toffees, who have already suffered three defeats against Fulham, Aston Villa and Wolves, are now on the brink of landing Beto for a fee in the region of £25million.

Mail Sport understands Everton will pay £21.4m plus £4.2m in potential add-ons for the Portuguese forward, with no payment due until the next financial year.
